Saturday night’s matchup against Texas A&M in Tiger Stadium is also shaping up to be one of LSU’s biggest recruiting weekends of the fall. Lane Kiffin and his staff are expected to have a strong group of 2027 commits on campus, along with a deep list of 2028 prospects and a key flip target that the Tigers have been pushing hard for.
2027 Commits Expected in Town
The headliner of LSU’s group of commits is five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson, who is expected to make it to Baton Rouge for the weekend. Hudson is the crown jewel of the Tigers’ 2027 class, and having him in Death Valley for a night game against a rival is exactly the type of environment LSU wants its top commits to experience.
He’ll be joined by a handful of other Louisiana commits. Four-star quarterback Peyton Houston, four-star running back Trey Martin, four-star athlete Braylon Calais, four-star safety Jayden Anding and three-star wide receiver Gary Burney Jr. are all expected to be in attendance on gameday. The Tigers will also host a pair of Texas commits in four-star safety Greedy James and four-star running back Brennen Lacey.
Flip Target: Kelsey Adams
The big name to watch this weekend is four-star offensive lineman Kelsey Adams out of Georgia. Adams is currently committed to the Georgia Bulldogs, but LSU is making a big push to flip him, and a win over the Aggies in front of a packed Tiger Stadium would go a long way in that effort.
2028 and 2029 Prospects
LSU’s 2028 visitor list is loaded with talent. Four-star quarterback Anthony Turner (VA) leads the group, alongside four-star running backs Noble Williams (LA), Acely Brown (MS), and three-star running back Caiden Bellard (LA).
At receiver, four-star Jacolby Campbell (LA) and four-star Carter St. Junious (TX) are expected. LSU will host four-star offensive linemen Toa Feinga (UT) and Jamarios Canton (TX), four-star defensive lineman RJ Wyms (TX), and four-star edge rusher Keoni Snipes (AL).
Elite 2028 linebacker Shamar Evans (LA) will possibly make the trip down. According to recruits.lsu on Instagram, Evans will confirm his plans before the weekend.
The Tigers will also get an early look at the 2029 class, with four-star safety Captain Munnerlyn Jr. from Alabama expected to attend.
Change of Plans
LSU was expected to host elite Texas A&M quarterback commit Donald Tabron, but he is no longer making the trip to Baton Rouge. Four-star defensive linemen Nikolas Stevens and Andrae Maddox have also dropped from the list of attendees for this weekend.
With a top 25 SEC opponent coming to town in prime time, LSU has a chance to make a statement on the field and on the recruiting trail. Keep an eye on Adams and Evans heading into Saturday. Those two could be the biggest storylines to come out of this weekend.
