Lane Kiffin's staff isn't just building for Saturday night. They're building for the future as well, and Death Valley will be packed with recruits again this week across four classes when the Tigers host Louisiana Tech.
Five-star 2027 tight end commit Ahmad Hudson leads the group, with some big questions in his recruitment with the Tigers. Hudson has recently been linked to Nebraska and many people believe he will end up flipping to play alongside five-star 2027 quarterback Trae Taylor. Ahmad will be joined by fellow LSU commits Trey Martin (4-star RB), Braylon Calais (4-star ATH), and Markez Davis (3-star CB). Kiffin's staff has certainly made it a point to keep in-state talent in the boot.
Some other 2027 LSU targets will be in attendance Saturday. Safety Rontrae Carter (3-star) and edge rusher Madaylan Mckenzie (3-star) are both finding their way to Baton Rouge. Carter is currently committed to TCU while Mckenzie is committed to the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. Worth watching whether LSU makes a late push. Also in the mix: JUCO defenders Kesler Jenkins (CB) and RJ Ward (LB), both out of Mississippi.
The 2028 class: A deep group highlights the visit, headlined by four-stars Joey Fleming (IOL, Alabama), Kevin Hartsfield (RB, Georgia), Tristian Henderson (EDGE, Florida) and Kaiden Buchanan (LB, Mississippi). Louisiana running backs DJ Neal (3-star) and Kason Williams (3-star) round out the ranked names, while a long list of unranked prospects complete the 2028 class. On the offensive side are Markus Soule (QB), receivers Will Walker and Braylon Moore, and TE Captain Best. On the defensive side: Jet Thomas (LB) and Javeon Johnson (CB). They'll be getting their first extended look at a Lane Kiffin LSU gameday.
Looking further ahead. The 2029 group brings six recruits to Death Valley, led by Louisiana CB Jaden Turner (4-star) and a pair of in-state quarterbacks in Krew Collura and Carter Gobert. Two offensive linemen Tucker Sturdivant and Carson Campbell (3-star) will join the lineup, closing out the class with linebacker Jet Thomas. Even the 2030 class will be in Baton Rouge, with Louisiana prospects Branson Hudson (ATH), Jacobe Shannon Jr. (QB), Kaden Anio (QB), and Ramaj Flowers (CB).
With a 51-10 win over Clemson still fresh and another sold out crowd expected for LA Tech, it'll be another chance for Kiffin and company to sell their vision to commits and future targets.
